About Me

Person with long hair wearing glasses, a dark jacket, and a round pendant necklace, standing against a beige background.

Hi there! My name is Vesper, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. I received a Master degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, and has been practicing as a therapist since.

I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient clinics, community agencies, and welfare and human services. I particularly have experiences with immigrant and refugee populations as well as intimate partner violence victims and survivors. I am bilingual in English and Mandarin.

My therapy style draws influence from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, Somatic Experience, Internal Family Systems, and Psychodynamic frameworks. I approach this work holistically with warmth, empathy, and ever developing curiosity.

On a more personal note, I immigrated from China years ago, so I understand how scary and lonely transitions can be sometimes. Outside of work, I enjoy LEGO building, reading, postcrossing, and bullet journaling.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first step towards change. It takes intentions to create the time and space to explore and navigate the situation we are in.
